STATEMENT FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
November 19, 2025 marks exactly 3 years since the founding of our organization. As we celebrate these three amazing years, I’m reminded of why we began this work in the first place. Over the past few years, we’ve served as a home for student leaders across the country, a place where young people can organize, learn, and take action to defend their schools and communities they care deeply about. In this time, we have trained new advocates, elevated student voices in decision-making processes, and helped lead efforts to push back against book bans, attacks on LGBTQ+ and BIPOC students, and policies that undermine our beloved values of public education.
This year, we stand stronger than ever, supported by our largest ever team, and grounded in a renewed mission to fight back against the cuts, crises, and political attacks targeting education at the local, state, and federal levels.
To all who have supported us since day one, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. To those who are just joining us, welcome aboard. The work ahead is big, yes, but so is our movement. And we're just getting started.
